Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Public Works Director, the Deputy Public Works Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and supervision of the Highway and Facilities divisions. This key leadership role supports the planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance, repair, renovation, and capital improvement projects throughout the Town.
The Deputy Director develops work schedules, coordinates project logistics, procures materials and equipment, and ensures projects are completed efficiently and effectively. Serving as both a project manager and facility administrator, this position directs a broad range of short- and long-term initiatives involving municipal facilities, public infrastructure, and operational improvements.
This is a highly responsible position requiring independent judgment, technical expertise, strong organizational abilities, and effective communication skills. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining and enhancing the Town’s infrastructure while supporting the delivery of high-quality public services.
