Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Public Works Director, this position is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing regulatory compliance activities across the Department of Public Works. The successful candidate will oversee programs related to wastewater, stormwater, environmental compliance, and permitting while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
This role provides technical leadership in the development, implementation, and administration of compliance programs, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities include coordinating permitting activities, evaluating regulatory requirements, supporting environmental initiatives, and ensuring departmental operations remain compliant with applicable laws and standards.
The position works closely with multiple Public Works divisions and other municipal departments to develop solutions to complex compliance challenges, implement program improvements, and support long-term operational and environmental goals.
