The Town of Bridgewater is seeking a Senior Water Handler to support the operation and maintenance of its water treatment facilities. This role is responsible for operating and repairing treatment equipment, safely handling water treatment chemicals, and maintaining water plants, pump stations, and storage facilities to ensure reliable system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain chemical feed systems, pumps, and related equipment
- Safely handle and manage water treatment chemicals
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of water plants, pump stations, and water towers
- Support daily operations under the direction of the Chief Plant Operator and Water Superintendent
- Collaborate effectively with Water Department staff
- Assist with all duties associated with Water Handler functions as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Grade 2T Drinking Water Operator Certification required
