Howard Weissberg

Howard Weissberg is the Transportation Supervising Engineer for the Connecticut Department of Transportation Pavement Management Group, where he oversees pavement condition data and development of network pavement construction programs. Prior to this, he served as Deputy and Acting Director of Public Works for the City of Middletown, Connecticut, bringing extensive experience in municipal infrastructure, transportation engineering, and public works leadership. Before joining Middletown in 2022, Howard served as Director of Public Works and Associate City Engineer in Meriden, CT, and held leadership roles in the City of New Haven and Anne Arundel County, MD.  His expertise spans transportation planning, utility permitting, infrastructure management, and personnel oversight.  As a registered Connecticut Professional Engineer, he has played a key role in overseeing municipal infrastructure development, maintenance, and capital improvement projects. Howard is a Connecticut State Director for American Public Works Association New England, contributing to regional initiatives that advance public works excellence. His leadership continues to enhance infrastructure and community development throughout Connecticut.
