Howard Weissberg is the Deputy Director of Public Works for the City of Middletown, Connecticut, bringing extensive experience in municipal infrastructure, transportation engineering, and public works leadership. A registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Connecticut and a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE), he plays a key role in overseeing Middletown’s infrastructure development, maintenance, and capital improvement projects.
Before joining Middletown in 2022, Weissberg served as Director of Public Works and Associate City Engineer in Meriden, CT, and held leadership roles in the Connecticut Department of Transportation and the City of New Haven. His expertise spans transportation planning, utility permitting, infrastructure management, and personnel oversight.
Weissberg is also a Connecticut State Director for the New England Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA), contributing to regional initiatives that advance public works excellence. His leadership continues to enhance infrastructure and community development throughout Connecticut.
