Christopher Gallagher is the Director of Public Works for the Town of Foxborough, Massachusetts, overseeing five divisions: Administration, Highway, Tree & Park, Equipment Maintenance, and Water & Sewer. A Massachusetts professional engineer, Chris has dedicated his career to public works, beginning as an intern with the Town of Westwood before advancing to Assistant Town Engineer, Deputy Director of Public Works, and ultimately Town Engineer in Foxborough in 2014. He was promoted to DPW Director in 2019.
With a background in mechanical and civil engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Chris brings a strong technical foundation to his role, managing critical infrastructure, including 100 miles of roads, 120 miles of water mains, and facilities serving Patriot Place and Gillette Stadium. As Massachusetts Director for APWA New England, he is committed to advancing best practices in public works. Chris is passionate about infrastructure resilience, asset management, and enhancing community services.
