With over 35 years of experience in public works, asset management, and transportation planning, Anthony (Tony) Garro is a recognized leader in the industry. As Senior Vice President at BETA, he specializes in GIS-based management systems, compliance assessments, and capital improvement planning. Tony has implemented GIS solutions for over 100 New England communities, helping municipalities enhance infrastructure planning and asset management.
A dedicated member of the New England Chapter of APWA, Tony served as Chapter President in 2021 and was honored as NEAPWA Member of the Year in 2015. His leadership continues through his role on the Past Presidents Advisory Council, where he provides strategic guidance to the chapter. In 2023, Esri named him a GIS Hero for his contributions to geographic information systems.
Outside of work, Tony enjoys playing golf, landscaping, and spending time with his family at the beach.
