The Summer Conference Committee plans and manages all aspects of the New England Chapter’s annual June conference. Responsibilities include coordinating with the venue, organizing educational sessions with CEU opportunities, securing speakers, managing vendor exhibits, and arranging meals, receptions, and special events, including the Chapter Dinner and Awards Banquet. The committee is dedicated to providing high-quality educational content relevant to public works professionals while fostering camaraderie among Chapter members. Collaboration with the Educational and Sponsors Committees, as well as the Chapter Board, ensures a successful and engaging conference experience for all attendees.
Objectives:
- Deliver High-Quality Educational Content: Provide engaging and relevant sessions led by expert speakers, offering Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to support the professional development of public works professionals.
- Promote Member Engagement and Camaraderie: Foster a welcoming and collaborative environment through networking opportunities, social events, and shared experiences that strengthen connections among Chapter members.
- Ensure a Seamless and Successful Event Experience: Coordinate all logistical and programmatic elements—venue, vendors, meals, and special events—in partnership with other committees and the Board to deliver a well-organized and memorable conference.
